MyRelay is an AI-powered phone relay service. You type what you want to say, an AI voice speaks it to the other person, and what they say back appears as text on your screen. No human operator. No waiting. No one else on the line.
Who is MyRelay for?
Anyone who needs a different way to make phone calls. That includes people who are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, or have speech disabilities like ALS, Parkinson's, stuttering, aphasia, or post-stroke conditions. Caregivers and family members also use it to help manage calls for loved ones.
How is this different from calling through 711?
Traditional 711 relay uses a human operator who hears everything, announces "this is a relay call," and takes 5–20 minutes to connect. MyRelay connects in under 1 second, uses AI instead of a human, doesn't announce itself, and gives you features like mood detection, sound detection, and AI Agent mode. See the full comparison.
Do I need to download an app?
No. MyRelay is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Just open app.myrelay.ai in your browser. You can add it to your home screen for a native app experience — see our install guide.
Calling
What numbers can I call?
Any US phone number — landlines, cell phones, business lines, toll-free numbers. If it has a phone number, you can call it.
Can people call me through MyRelay?
Not yet. MyRelay currently supports outbound calls only. Inbound calling is on our roadmap — when it's ready, you'll get a dedicated number where people can call you and you'll receive the conversation as text.
What is AI Agent mode?
AI Agent mode lets Claude (Anthropic's AI) handle the entire phone conversation for you. You set a goal ("reschedule my Thursday appointment to Friday"), provide context, and the AI makes the call and handles the conversation autonomously. You watch the live transcript and can take over at any time.
Does the other person know it's a relay call?
No. There's no announcement, no "this is a relay call" message. The other person hears a natural AI voice and sees a regular phone number on their caller ID. To them, it's just a normal phone call.
Can I call 911?
No. MyRelay does not support 911 or emergency calls. For emergencies, use your phone's native dialer, text 911 (where available), or use another relay service that supports emergency calling. See our 911 notice for details.
Privacy
Does anyone else hear my calls?
No. There's no human operator on the line. Your calls are processed by AI — no person at MyRelay or anywhere else hears your conversation.
Are my calls recorded?
No audio is stored. Transcripts are generated in real time and available for you to download during or after the call. Once you close the session, the audio is gone. We never store call recordings.
Is my data sold to advertisers?
No. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use your conversations to train AI models. Your data is yours. See our full privacy policy.
Pricing
How much does MyRelay cost?
Free during beta (invite code required). After beta: Starter is $5.99/month for 60 minutes, Pro is $14.99/month for 200 minutes, and Pay As You Go is 10¢ per minute with no monthly commitment. See pricing for details.
What happens when I use all my minutes?
You automatically switch to Pay As You Go at 10¢ per minute. Your call isn't interrupted — it keeps going. You'll see the switch on your dashboard.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
TRS & FCC
Is MyRelay FCC-certified?
Not yet. We are currently in the FCC IP Relay certification process. We'll announce on our website and via email when certification is granted. See TRS certification status.
Will MyRelay be free when certified?
That's the goal. Once certified, eligible users with hearing or speech disabilities would access MyRelay at no cost through the federal TRS program. Paid plans would still be available for anyone who doesn't qualify.
How do I know if I'm eligible?
If you have a hearing loss or speech disability that makes standard phone calls difficult, you likely qualify. Under federal rules, users self-certify — no doctor's note required. Use our eligibility checker to find out.

What devices does MyRelay work on?
Any device with a modern browser — iPhone (Safari), Android (Chrome), desktop (Chrome, Edge, Brave), and Chromebooks. See the install guide for your device.
How accurate is the transcription?
95%+ accuracy in most conditions. We use Deepgram's neural speech recognition, which handles accents, background noise, and speakerphones well. Accuracy can vary with extremely noisy environments or very fast speech.
What voices are available?
Six AI voices — Adam, Josh, Sarah, Rachel, Marcus, and Nia. Three male, three female. Each has a distinct personality. All are included in every plan. See them on the voices page.
