On the path to FCC certification

MyRelay is pursuing federal approval to become a certified IP Relay provider — making the service permanently free for eligible users.

What is the Telecommunications Relay Service?

The Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) is a federal program mandated by Title IV of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990). It ensures that people who are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deafblind, or have speech disabilities can use the telephone system just like everyone else.

Under TRS, certified relay providers are approved by the FCC to offer accessible phone services. For qualifying users, this means relay calls are available at no cost — funded through a federal program.

TRS has traditionally relied on human operators who sit between the caller and the person being called, relaying messages back and forth. But the FCC has opened the door to AI-powered providers — automated systems that can deliver the same service faster, more privately, and without a human intermediary.

That's exactly what MyRelay is building.

Important Notice

MyRelay is not yet FCC-certified as a TRS provider. We are actively pursuing IP Relay certification. During the certification process, MyRelay is available free of charge during early access. Nothing on this page constitutes a guarantee of future certification, free access, or federal funding. Eligibility for TRS services is determined by federal regulations and may require documentation. For official information about TRS, visit fcc.gov/trs.

Don't wait for certification.
