Our commitment: MyRelay exists to make phone calls accessible. We hold ourselves to the same standard with our website and app — accessibility isn't an afterthought, it's the entire point.
1. Our Standard
We are committed to ensuring that myrelay.ai and the MyRelay app are accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.
2. What We've Done
We have taken the following steps to ensure accessibility across our website and app:
- Semantic HTML — We use proper HTML elements (nav, main, section, article, footer) to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies
- Color contrast — All text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, with visible focus indicators
- ARIA labels — Icon-only buttons and interactive elements include descriptive ARIA labels for screen readers
- Responsive design — The site works across screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop monitors
- Text-based interface — The MyRelay app is fundamentally text-based, making it inherently accessible for users who rely on visual communication
- No auto-playing media — No audio or video plays automatically on any page
- Clear language — We use plain, direct language throughout — avoiding jargon and unnecessary complexity
3. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge the following current limitations:
- Some third-party integrations may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Video tutorials (when available) may not yet have captions or transcripts — we are working on this
- The AI voice selection feature relies on audio previews that are not accessible to all users — we plan to add text descriptions of each voice's characteristics
- The app is currently optimized for visual use; screen reader support for the call interface is being improved
4. Compatibility
MyRelay is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver (iOS and macOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
- NVDA (Windows)
- JAWS (Windows)
- Browser zoom (up to 200%)
- High contrast modes
5. Feedback
We take accessibility seriously and want to hear from you. If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website or app, please let us know:
When reporting an issue, please include the page URL, a description of the problem, the assistive technology you're using, and your browser and operating system. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
6. Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website and app, address reported issues, and work to improve the experience for all users. As MyRelay grows, we plan to conduct formal accessibility audits and publish the results on this page.
